The most surprising and astonishing aspect of this huge procession is that every pilgrim, irrespective of their gender, partakes in the procession without wearing any clothes. The revelers celebrate the festival with fun and frolic on 20th March every year. This is the season to visit the place and see how devotees celebrate the very ancient festival in Chandragutti. A fair is organized as well on the divine temple premise. However, now-days, some local organization are working to stop these nude procession.
How to reach: Sagar- Jambaguru railway station can be accessed through the Talaguppa- Shimoga railway track. The destination is connected to Joga waterfall and Mysore by road as well.
